Online Safety
Technology is all around us and used everyday to enhance our learning, find information, or for fun. At Woodford it is important that the children use technology to enhance their learning journeys in a fun, safe and secure environment.
The children learn skills and use technology across the curriculum. It is important children have time to reflect and consider the importance of internet safety and appropriate use. At Woodford, through discrete Computing 2BeSafe session we introduce children to online safety concepts such managing online information, online relationships, online bullying, health and well-being, online reputation, privacy, and identity. As teachers and parents there are many ways we can help our children and understand the technological world we live in.
Here are some resources you can use to develop understanding of online safety and safe surfing for young people, many have sections linked to children's age and developmental stages.
