Playing accompaniments to Mamma Mia in Music, Exploring our new unit in English on the book "The Rainforest Guide", Using place value charts in Maths and exploring asymmetrical balances in Gymnastics.

Cherry class have enjoyed playing accompaniments to Mamma Mia, working in pairs, one playing rhythm one playing the melody (tune). Our new unit in English is exploring the book ‘The Rainforest Guide’. The children enjoyed collecting true facts from pages of the book. The children have been exploring shading using charcoal pencils with Mrs Eames. We have started our new unit of Maths learning.  The children were using the place value charts to add and subtract 4-digit numbers with no exchange. Cherry Class enjoyed our ‘washing machine’ warm up in gymnastics. It was very energetic and fun. Today, we have been exploring asymmetrical balances. Next week, we are going to begin creating sequences using all our learning so far this term.
