Playing accompaniments to Mamma Mia in Music Lesson, using place value counters in Maths, becoming Scientists writing explanations about when a kettle boils and practising coding skills in the Computer Suite.

Cedar class played accompaniments to Mamma Mia in music lesson.  We worked in pairs, one playing rhythm one playing melody (tune). Our new Maths unit is on addition and subtraction. The children collaborated well, using place value counters to support them. Cedar class have also become scientists. We used the key vocabulary to write an explanation about what happens when a kettle is boiled. We have been in the computer suite practising our coding skills trying to get animals and objects moving on a screen. We had dogs chasing turtles and flying apples!
