Using the Frottage Technique in Art, Tackling with Control, ball skills in PE and learning about fossils in Science.

Silver Birch used the Frottage technique in Art. Frottage artwork is created by using rubbings of uneven surfaces or different textures to form the basis of a picture.  In PE lessons we are learning how to tackle with control and keep possession of the ball. Our Science lessons have been learning about how a fossil is formed and we have been fascinated by the work of palaeontologists. In English, we started our new non-fiction unit on rocks. The children had a go at writing some sentences about volcanoes and identifying features of a non-fiction text.
