In our vocabulary sessions we have been learning the words vertical and horizontal. We were challenged to position ourselves vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Oak class have had fun exploring the new resources. They have enjoyed developing their fine motor skills and hand muscles using hammers and golf tees with the pumpkins. In Outdoor learning they used sticks, leaves and an elastic band to create their own natural paintbrush. They mixed their own mud paint and used their brushes to have a go at mark making and painting pictures. Over the next two weeks we will be learning about Diwali. Today the children were excited to discover brightly coloured chalk drawings on the floor in both of our outdoor areas.
