Welcome back Hazel Class
In Art we used our knowledge of line types and patterns to create a shared piece of art in response to music. We looked at the artist Paul Klee who loved to create art after playing his violin. He shared his view, “ A line is a dot that went for a walk”. We listened to Debussy’s La Mer (the sea) and began to make our own lines and marks in response to the music.
In English, we are focusing on matching upper and lower case letters. We talked about the capital letter we all have at the beginning of our name. This will also be really useful when we are writing our sentences.
In maths, we have been ordering numbers from 0 to 10. We also had a go at ordering 3 random numbers. We counted up to 10 to help us with this. The children explained which number came first, second and third and then recorded it in their book.
