Woodford Primary School

Our School

Woodford is a popular primary school for children 4 – 11 years and we currently have 421 children on the roll in 15 classes.   Our extensive school site offers a wide variety of learning environments ;  large, bright classrooms, shared learning spaces, 2 libraries, 2 computer suites, music room, 4 playgrounds, outdoor amphitheatre, woodland area and a large school field.    Within our site are the community services of Willow Child Care Centre (Nursery and after –school/holiday care), Plumtree Children’s Centre and the Plews Scout Centre.

We are extremely proud of Woodford Primary School and the dedicated and skilled staff who focus on the needs of each child, ensuring they feel confident, happy, safe and are well equipped both academically and in life skills, for their future educational and life challenges.  Our children are our greatest ambassadors, their high standards of behaviour, positive attitudes to learning and all round achievements, are a credit to the school and the result of the close working partnership we have with parents.

We foster a caring ethos and have 3 main rules – Respect for Ourselves, Respect for Others and Respect for our Environment.  The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect staff, volunteers and parents to share this commitment.

We hope that you will find our new website interesting and informative.  We welcome feedback through our class pages.  If you are a visitor or prospective parent and would like more information, please contact the school office or make an appointment to come in and meet us.
