Oak Class have enjoyed their literacy sessions. They have been reading the story of Elmer. They have discussed that Elmer is unique and so are we! The children have been using new resources in the creative area to create their own Elmer stick puppets.

The children absolutely loved their first outdoor learning session. They learnt the boundaries and rules of the forest and tried to find a different item for each hand, looking at how the items they found were different from each other.

For their first science unit Oak are learning about different materials. This week they have been naming different materials such as metal, wood, plastic, fabric and glass. They then sorted different objects into groups by their materials. They talked about how to group objects that are made with more than one material.
