The Big Pedal is now over and what a successful 2 weeks it has been! Overall, Woodford has had a massive 2631 active journeys to school this week (not including today’s totals). This equates to 65% of children (13% supporter journeys) coming to school on a bike or scooter, which is an amazing effort.
This puts us in 12th place out of the 1596 schools registered to take part and in 1st place of all the Plymouth schools that have entered. A massive well done and thank you to everyone who took part; we can now look forward to receiving a bike or scooter stunt show in the near future.
A big thank you also goes to everyone who came to the Big Pedal Breakfast on Tuesday as well. There was a huge turnout and Sustrans Ryan Evans, who has been coordinating this project for 8 years, even commented that it was the best attended breakfast he’d ever seen! Thank you to the PTFA who funded this very popular event.
