Children from Sycamore Class attended the Guildhall, Plymouth, to look at a variety of exhibitors who were displaying new technology in the medical career world. The children tried using virtual reality headsets to simulate dealing with medical injuries and 3D models of the brain, how organisations help with healthy lifestyles and what can be done to overcome social isolation and bereavement. They also had a go at resuscitation using the latest defibrillation systems.
Hopefully the morning has broadened their minds to the possibility of a career in the medical field. Please ask your child about the visit and what they liked best and why.
