Thursday - History

In History this week, we will be looking at Tudor punishment methods that were popular during the reign of King Henry VIII. Children will need to go through the Lesson presentation Powerpoint below, carefully reading the information on all the slides. When they reach a 'Guess the object' page, encourage them to have a think about what the contraption might have been used for before they move on to the next page and find out the answer.

After they have read through the Powerpoint, they will be ready for the activity (on Slide 17). Children need to try and match the person with their crime, punishment and picture of it. They will need some scissors and glue to cut, match and stick the relevant information together. The answers are included for them to check at the end. There are also some extension questions on Slide 18 children could complete afterwards if they have time.
